Calvin Kim '23 in Debut Solo Exhibition at Situations Gallery

From April 27 until June 2, 2024, Situations Gallery in New York City is presenting Soft Pangs, a debut solo exhibition by Visual Arts alum Calvin Kim ’23

Leroy Neiman Professor of Professional PracticeTomas Vu-Daniel has been commissioned by the Asia Society Texas and the University of Houston’s Cynthia Woods Mitchell Center for the Arts to create a collaborative public art installation alongside Cuban American artist Rafael Domenech.

Materiality lies at the heart of Scab, the solo exhibition by Visual Arts alumna Xinyi Liu ’22 on view at A.I.R. Gallery in Brooklyn, NY until April 14, 2024.

In The Glittering Maw, a translation by writing alumna C. Francis Fisher ’23 of Syrian-Jewish surrealist poet Joyce Mansour, will be published by World Poetry in May 2024. 

Gatsby: An American Myth, yet another production directed by Theatre alumna Rachel Chavkin ’08,  begins preview performances at the American Repertory Theater’s Loeb Drama Center next month, with an official opening set for June.

Undergraduate Film and Media Studies student Atish Saha recently worked as director of photography on the Bengali film Peyarar Subhash (The Scent of Sin), which premiered last year at the Moscow Film Festival and recently had its New York premiere.
