‘Happily’ by Aaron David DeFazio ’15 Screens at Los Angeles International Film Festival 2020

Happily, a short film co-written and directed by alumnus Aaron David DeFazio '15, screened in the Drama section of the 24th Los Angeles International Film Festival last month. The film was virtually streamed from October 8 to October 31 on the festival’s website and was one of 272 films from 32 countries that were part of the prestigious event.

DeFazio’s award winning short film Top Floor premiered at SXSW, was selected as Vimeo Staff Pick, was featured on Short of the Week and has been screened at film events and festivals around the world. Knives, a short film shot on 35mm film, collected an audience award at the Columbia University Film Festival, and screened in 2015 as part of the Vail International Film Festival and the Lighthouse International Film Festival. It was selected as Vimeo Staff Pick and has been screened in film events in Europe and Asia. DeFazio currently resides in Los Angeles, California.

LA Shorts International Film Festival ranks among the most prestigious and largest international short film festivals in the world. The festival is accredited by the Academy of Motion Pictures Arts & Sciences, the British Academy of Film and Television Arts and the Academy of Canadian Cinema and Television. Now in its 24th year, LA Shorts is the longest-running short film festival in Los Angeles.
