Plastic Bottle-Free Pledge
The School of the Arts has stopped using single-use plastic bottles at its facilities and events. We encourage the Columbia community to pledge to do the same:
- Ask the cafes in your facilities to stop selling single-use plastic water bottles
- Deauthorize orders of single-use plastic water bottles from vendors
- Purchase carafes and filtering pitchers for use in office suites and at events
- Encourage the use of glasses and refillable water bottles
- Replace vending machines that sell single-use plastic water bottles
- Recycle, and take care not to co-mingle materials
