Thesis 2020 Information and Meeting: Dec 1: 4:30 - 5:30 pm

November 20, 2020

Greetings Everyone,

I hope this message finds you all healthy and safe. I’m writing with some important information and dates pertaining to your Thesis Exhibition which will take place in April, 2021, at the Lenfest Center for the Arts.

On Tuesday 1 December our Curator, Amy Sadao, Carrie Gundersdorf, Peter Clough, Rider Urena, Leeza Meksin and I will meet with you from 4:30 to 5:30 pm to talk about your thesis work, access to Visual Arts facilities and resources, and the thesis show. Attendance at this meeting is required for participating in the Thesis 2020 exhibition.

To prepare for this meeting please read through the attached questionnaire.  Please also think through any changes you need to make to the Thesis Proposal you submitted this spring. And, as you do these two things, please also make a list of questions to bring to the 1 December meeting. After the meeting you will need to complete the questionnaire and submit it, along with your revised Thesis Proposal, by Friday 4 December.

Amy, Carrie, Peter, Rider, Leeza, your Thesis Chair, and I will review your requests (if any) for access to Visual Arts facilities and your revised Thesis Proposal. When your proposal is approved we will work with you to schedule access to Visual Arts facilities. Access will be possible during the period beginning on 11 January and ending two weeks before installation week. Individual access will be scheduled according to availability and compliance with COVID guidelines. Studio visits with Amy Sadao will begin in mid-January. A timeline summary is below.

We are very excited to resume working with you to complete your thesis and mount your exhibition. We look forward to seeing you on 1 December. Further meeting details and a link to the meeting will follow.

All the best,

Matthew, Leeza, Peter, Rider and Carrie
