First Two Weeks of Sp 21 term all classes will be online (Jan 11 - 22)

December 15, 2020

Hello Film Students,

I am contacting you to give you as much notice as possible about curricular plans for the spring term.  The university has decided that due to the number of affiliates who will have to quarantine after travel during winter break, the first two weeks of Spring classes (Jan 11-22) will be conducted online, regardless of the instructional mode of the class.  This will also apply to Fall/Spring lab session courses (Directing and Directing Actors) that continue into the spring term.

After Jan 22, classes taught in hybrid mode are expected to be available for in-person, subject to occupancy guidelines for the designated classroom.  Where access will be limited, the professor or department will communicate with students to organize in-person attendance.  Classes designated as "online only" will continue to meet online.

This adjustment for the first two weeks of the class will not affect international student eligibility for student visas based on enrollment in hybrid classes.  Those classes designated as "hybrid" will provide opportunities for in-person participation after January 22nd.
