Pamela Palmer, a play with several Columbia Theatre artists in the cast and creative team, is set to premiere at the Williamstown Theatre Festival through August 10, 2024 on WTF’s CenterStage.

Adjunct Associate Professor Tina Benko (Appropriate) will take on the title role. The production team includes Stage Management alumni Robbie Armstrong III ’22 as Production Stage Manager, Kelley Lynne Moncrief ’21 as Assistant Stage Manager, and Gianna Durante ’24 as Production Assistant.

In this noir take on an existential romance, Pamela Palmer leads a seemingly perfect life with her husband at Wishwood, but she harbors a bizarre suspicion that something is amiss. Joining Benko are Becky Ann Baker (Girls and Good People) as The Mother; Clark Gregg (Avengers) as The Detective; and Max Gordon Moore (The Nap and Indecent) as The Husband. The play is directed by Walter Bobbie.

“Initially coming across as a whodunnit, the play features elements related to deja vu, various characters’ existential crises, and rather profound parallels to T.S. Eliot’s poem The Waste Land,” said the Berkshire on Stage

For seven decades, the Tony Award-recognized Williamstown Theatre Festival has brought emerging and professional theater artists together in the Berkshires to create a thrilling summer festival of diverse, world premiere plays and musicals, bold new revivals, and a rich array of accompanying cultural events.
