Mathilde Hauducoeur

Mathilde Hauducoeur is a writer and director based between Paris and New York. She studied film history at Sarah Lawrence College before earning an MFA in screenwriting and directing from Columbia University. Her work explores the intricacies of female friendship and the complex performances of self that shape our relationships.

Her short films Pillow Talk and Angel Wings and Open Wounds have screened internationally and won awards (Miami Film Festival, New Hampshire Film Festival, Brooklyn Film Festival, NoBudge, Indy Shorts, Mulhouse Tous Courts, etc.). Her work has been featured by Short of the Week, and she has been invited to give conferences at the Cinémathèque française. She is currently developing her first feature film with the support of Ciné Qua Non Lab and the Pelion Screenwriting Residency, and her television project A21 (co-written with alum Tomás Pinzon-Lucena) was selected for the 2024 Torino Film Lab and FEST 2024.
