Julie Dobrow is currently Dean of Admissions and Financial Aid at Columbia University’s School of the Arts. In this position, she oversees admissions and financial aid strategy and implementation for the graduate Film, Theatre, Writing, and Visual Arts programs. Before assuming this position, she served as Associate Dean and as the Director of Academic Administration for Columbia’s Theatre Program for 8 years.
Prior to Columbia, she held various positions in theatre management, including Director of the Gaelen Center for the Arts at JCC MetroWest, Director of Individual Giving at Manhattan Theatre Club, and Engagement Manager of the Broadway National Tour of Fosse. She has a BA in History of Art from Yale and an MFA in Theatre Management and Producing from Columbia.
