Diksha Basu

Diksha Basu is the author of the novels The Windfall and Destination Wedding. Originally from New Delhi, India, she currently lives in Brooklyn, NY.

The Windfall (Crown, 2017) by Assistant Professor Diksha Basu '14 was recently chosen by comedian and actress Lilly Singh as her April book club read. The Windfall was Basu's debut novel and is available for purchase here.

On November 18, 2021, Writing Program students interested in the lineup of professors for the Spring semester had the opportunity to get to know incoming Assistant Professor Diksha Basu, as she joined Ravina Aggarwal, Director of Columbia Global Centers | Mumbai for a virtual installment of Indian Stories on the Global Stage. 

Incoming Assistant Professor Diksha Basu ’14 has been shortlisted for the Comedy Women in Print Prize for her latest novel, Destination Wedding (Ballantine Books, 2020).

Destination Wedding by alumna Diksha Basu ’14 will be available June 30.
