Stage Management alumna Rachel A. Zucker ’17 has been announced as the production stage manager for the Broadway transfer of Max Wolf Friedlich’s play Job. The play, which received critical acclaim during its Off-Broadway runs at the SoHo Playhouse and the Connelly Theatre, will feature its original cast on Broadway later this summer.
Job stars Tony nominee Peter Friedman (Ragtime and Succession) and Sydney Lemmon (TÁR and Helstrom), both reprising their roles. The psychological thriller is directed by Michael Herwitz, who also directed its world premiere. The story centers around Jane, a big tech company employee, portrayed by Lemmon, who seeks reinstatement after being placed on leave due to a viral video, and Loyd, a crisis therapist played by Friedman, who she hopes will help her regain her job.
In addition to Zucker’s role as production stage manager, the Broadway production will boast an impressive creative team, including scenic design by Scott Penner, costume design by Michelle J. Li, lighting design by Mextly Couzin, and sound design by Cody Spencer.
Previews are set to begin on July 15 at the Hayes Theater, with the official opening slated for July 30 and a limited engagement running through September 29.
