Acting Alumna Rebecca Henderson '06 is featured in the film Werewolves Within directed by Josh Ruben.

The film, which is the feature adaptation of Ubisoft’s VR game of the same name, is a horror-comedy that follows a group of town residents after a snowstorm traps them together inside the local inn, where newly arrived forest ranger Finn (Sam Richardson) and postal worker Cecily (Milana Vayntrub) must try to keep the peace and uncover the truth behind a mysterious creature that has begun terrorizing the community. Henderson, George Basil, Sarah Burns, Michael Chernus, Catherine Curtain, Wayne Duvall, Harvey Guillén, Cheyenne Jackson, Michaela Watkins and Glenn Fleshler round out the cast.

Henderson plays Dr. Ellis, the environmentalist academician taking refuge at the local inn who is seemingly the only hope for getting any kind of answers to what exactly is going on in their small town. The film has been called “a wild and wacky jaunt that combines Agatha Christie and Neil Marshall with hilarious results” by The Hollywood News and “an agile horror-comedy with sharp bite” by Variety.

Henderson’s role in Werewolves Within builds on an already impressive filmography, whose highlights include Russian DollWestworldOrange is the New BlackManhuntMistress America, among many other titles from the film and television worlds.

Henderson first started acting during high school, but her creative path wasn’t always clear. “I was a synchronized swimmer in Canada for many years. When I left swimming, I was just kind of a lost teenage soul,” Henderson said in an interview with Quail Bell Magazine. “I found a lot of comfort at school, primarily in theater class. I loved the community and the people, and I still do.” Henderson went on to complete her MFA in Acting at Columbia University School of the Arts’ Theatre Program.

Werewolves Within is available to watch in theaters and on demand now. Watch the trailer below.
