‘Imagining Madoff,’ Stage Managed by alumna Caitlyn Annelise Dominguez ’19, Transfers to Theatre Row
On the heels of a sold-out run at 59E59 Theaters earlier this year, New Light Theater Project's production of Imagining Madoff picks up Stage Management alumna Caitlyn Annelise Dominguez ’19 for its Off Broadway transfer. Dominguez joins the show as Production Stage Manager with its transfer to Theatre Row.
Since the film release of Moulin Rouge, Baz Luhrman’s dramatic musical has continued to capture the hearts of bohemians, artists, and audiences around the world. The 2001 film garnered critical acclaim, gaining the attention of Broadway producers. As the film transitioned to the stage, the script, adapted by playwright John Logan, continued to evolve. From workshops, to developmental labs, to the Boston premiere and finally to Broadway, Moulin Rouge!, directed by Alex Timbers, underwent numerous rewrites in order to become the dazzling spectacle that shines at the …

Every year, our stage management students and alumni help put together and produce countless shows, and this year has been no exception. Below is a recap of many of the achievements from our current students and recent alumni.
Directing alumna Nana Dakin '18 assisted tony-nominated director and Adjunct Assistant Professor, Leigh Silverman on Wild Goose Dreams an original play with music at The Public Theater which closed in December. Alumna Janelle Caso '17 was also the Assistant Stage Manager of the production. New York Magazine called the show “[w]himsical, powerful, and poignant. Quickly shifting and densely layered … visually delightful. A senses-tingling treat.”
