Stage Management Students and Recent Alumni Achieving Great Things

Every year, our stage management students and alumni help put together and produce countless shows, and this year has been no exception. Below is a recap of many of the achievements from our current students and recent alumni.

Many of our recent graduates have moved on to big things this year. Janelle Caso '18 is working with the Hudson Valley Shakes. Rachel Zucker '18 is the Broadway assistant stage manager sub for The Prom and True West for Roundabout Theatre Company. Daniel Vaughn '18 is working on Superhero at 2nd Stage Theater.  He received an AEA card for his work with Dallas Children’s Theater. Jennifer Ainsworth '18 won a Tony Award as a producer for Once On This IslandKate Dial '18 is working on various corporate events throughout the United States. 

And a few have stayed on with Columbia as staff members. Blake Kile is working at Lenfest, Garrett Rollins is working at Miller Theater.

Out current students are also working on a number of exciting productions. Alison Simone '19 joined Mother of the Maid as an assistant stage manager at Public Theater. Megan Webb '19 is working on Torch Song, Superhero at Second Stage. Jessica Emmanus '19 is a part of the rehearsal team for Harry Potter & Cursed ChildPatty Garvey '19 is production assistant of the Sarasota Opera’s Charlie And The Chocolate Factory Tour. 

A number of students received notable memberships. Alexis Nalbandian '19 received AEA Membership for CTH YC Production of R&J. Caitlyn Dominguez '19 received AEA Membership working on The Winning Side produced by Epic Theatre Ensemble at the Acorn in Theatre Row. The PSM was alumna Molly Minor EustisR. Christopher Maxwell '19 received AEA Membership for work on the Off-Broadway Show Eco Village assisting stage management alum Jessica Cotter '16. Maxwell is currently working on another Off-Broadway show Safeword with Dramaturg alum Jillian Walker '17.

Ada Zhang '20 is on the Kinky Boots’ Broadway Tour in both Beijing & Shanghai. Dennis Ho '20 received AEA Membership for CTH YC Production of R&J. Aimee Holland '20 received AEA Membership for CTH YC Production of R&J. Taeuk Kang '20 s intern for Jack Rouse Associates, an experiential design firm. Lanie Liu '20 is working for Broadway Asia on An American in Paris international tour, Amelie international tour, Kung Fu Panda Spectacular in Macau, and Tape Face in Beijing.

Lola Bao '20 is general management assistant for Nederlander Worldwide Entertainment, part of the Nederlander Organization family business. Currently working on a pre-Broadway musical lab called Far Beyond, the Jersey Boys touring production at Atlantic City (June-July), a new musical that hopes to transfer to Broadway from China called Shimmer, two new musicals in development in China called Songs of the Silk Road and the Legend of the White Snake, and a new theater in development in Hangzhou, China. 

Robbie Armstrong '21 and Hadley Armstrong '21 are stage management interns for Moulin Rouge! The Musical. Kait Mahoney '21 is stage management intern for La MaMa Theatre Company. Chloe Seare '21 is production stage manager at the Playmill Theatre, a summer stock theatre in West Yellowstone, Montana.
