Just Us: An American Conversation, the new Literary Collection by Writing alumna Claudia Rankine ’93, was released on September 8 by Graywolf Press.

Recent alumna Lisa Foad ’20 has been named a finalist for the 2020 Writers’ Trust/McClelland & Stewart Journey Prize for her short story “Hunting.” 

The last two years have been busy for Film alumnus and novelist Garth Stein ’90. Last summer, the movie The Art of Racing in the Rain based on Stein’s best-selling 2008 novel of the same name, was released by 20th Century Fox/Disney.

Once Upon a Time I Lived on Mars by alumna Kate Greene ’20 is a memoir about Greene’s time living in the Hawaii Space Exploration Analog and Simulation (HI-SEAS), a long-duration Mars exploration analog study run by the University of Hawaii and funded by NASA.

Nothing Can Hurt You, the recent debut novel by alumna Nicola Maye Goldberg ’18, was published to very positive reviews in June.

Want, a novel by Adjunct Assistant Professor Lynn Steger Strong ’14, headlined a Vulture review as “the summer book I couldn’t put down.”

Destination Wedding by alumna Diksha Basu ’14 will be available June 30.

The Change: My Great American, Postindustrial, Midlife Crisis Tour, a book by alumna Lori Soderlind ’97 was released on June 10. This is her second book.

The Margot Affair, the debut novel by Alumna Sanaë Lemoine ’15, will be published on June 16 through Hogarth Press.
