Solo Show Featuring N. Dash '10 Currently at The Aldrich Contemporary Art Museum

BY Zoe Contros Kearl, August 19, 2019

Visual arts alum N. Dash '10 has a solo show on view at The Aldrich Contemporary Art Museum in Ridgefield, Connecticut. The exhibition will be on view until September 15, 2019. N. Dash also has an upcoming show in New York at the Casey Kaplan Gallery, opening on September 5 and running through October 26, 2019.

N. Dash’s work spans painting, sculpture, photography and drawing and employs both natural and manmade materials, including pigments, adobe / mud, jute, graphite, fabric, polystyrene, and found objects. Across these materials, the artist’s inimitable approach seeks to both record sensory and informational capacities of touch and render typically unseen conduits of energy: ecological, architectural, and corporeal. The artist’s first monograph accompanies the exhibition and includes an essay by Amy Smith-Stewart, the exhibition’s curator.

N. Dash has shown work at The San Francisco MoMA, S.M.A.K. in Ghent, Hammer Museum, and The Jewish Museum. N. Dash received a BA from New York University and an MFA from Columbia University.
