Six Columbia Students in Group Exhibit at Collective 131, 'Study Sessions'

Collective 131, a gallery based in Hoboken, New Jersey, is a space devoted to promoting the work of women artists. For the past month, they have held a group exhibit called Study Sessions, which features work from six Columbia students. Current students Roni AvivFontaine Capel Susan M B ChenClare KouryYushan Liu, and Cara Lynch each have a recent prints, mixed media, and photography work on display at Collective 131.

Collective 131’s online platform can help new and seasoned collectors alike find high-quality, affordable works to diversify their collection. The works at the collective are on sale, and each showcases work made this past year. Aviv’s Puppy (II), Capel’s Proposal for A Monument, Chen’s You, Me, Two Trees (II), Koury’s Blight, Lin’s Monkey King, and Lynch’s Flower Face are all works made in 2019.

Collective 131 was founded in 2018 as a springboard for women artists. They believe in making art accessible and putting women in the forefront of the industry. The group exhibit runs from November 18 to December 12, 2019.
