Marinaro Gallery is presenting Wet Feet, the first solo painting exhibition in New York by multidisciplinary artist and Visual Arts alum Molly Lowe ’12, running from April 10 to May 17, 2025.

Known for her practice in sculpture, video, and performance, Lowe's exhibition marks a shift toward painting. Her recent work explores the boundaries between objects, bodies, and spaces through dynamic compositions that merge abstraction and representation.

The exhibition's title reflects Lowe's artistic approach—a willingness to immerse herself in new creative territories. Her paintings draw from both real-life imagery and magnified details of older, unfinished works, creating layered compositions that exist between the familiar and elusive.

This exhibition follows Lowe's 2023 show Falling Together at Anat Ebgi Gallery in Los Angeles. Lowe received her MFA in Sculpture from Columbia University  and her BFA in Painting from Rhode Island School of Design. She has exhibited widely at institutions including the Hammer Museum in Los Angeles, SculptureCenter in New York, and the Museum of Modern Art.
