Inspector Ike, a feature film co-written and directed by alumnus Graham Mason '11, won the Jury Award in the Narrative Features Competition at the 31st New Orleans Film Festival. The film was chosen over eight competing films in the feature film category and Mason will receive a $15,000 Panavision camera rental package and a $13,500 Light Iron Post Production Services as a reward.

After the conniving understudy of an avant-garde theater group knocks off the star actor, he finds himself in a high-stakes game of cat-and-mouse with Inspector Ike, New York City's Greatest Police Detective.

Graham Mason is a filmmaker based in NYC. His short films have been featured on Adult SwimIFCViceVultureBooooooomNoBudge, and Directors Notes, and have received three Vimeo Staff Picks. In 2019, he directed the feature film comedy Inspector Ike, produced by Factory 25 and BRIC Arts Media. It premiered at the Maryland Film Festival in 2020.

The New Orleans Film Festival is Oscar®-qualifying in all three Academy-accredited categories: Narrative Shorts, Documentary Shorts, and Animated Shorts. Jury Award-winning films in these categories automatically qualify for consideration for the Annual Academy Awards® without the standard theatrical run, provided the film otherwise complies with the Academy rules.
