Alumnus Eugene Ramos '07 is serving as an associate writer for season four of the Netflix series The Dragon Prince. The fan favorite fantasy show was renewed for four new seasons this year. Co-creator Aaron Ersahz (head writer on Avatar: The Last Airbender), announced the renewal at a virtual Comic-Con panel in July, which can be viewed here.

The Dragon Prince is a fantasy computer-animated streaming series created by Aaron Ehasz and Justin Richmond. It is a story of two civilizations, one that has the power of magic, and humans, who do not have access to magic naturally.

As time passes, humans restore magic for themselves using nefarious dark magic. Dark magic requires the sacrifice of magical creatures in order to cast spells, so elves and dragons have condemned the practice. Thus, war has left the two peoples at odds for generations. The story picks up when a young elf assassin joins forces with two human princes to bring peace to Xadia, the land of magic.

The series is co-produced by Bardel Entertainment and Wonderstorm, and first premiered on Netflix in September 2018. There are three seasons that have aired overall, with twenty-seven episodes.

The season four plot will further explore how a dragon prince must be saved from the dark magician Viren, and returned to the Queen of Xadia. The story will also revolve around the expansion of Xadia and its kingdom. More detailed speculation about the season four plot and characters can be found on Next Alerts
