The Sisters Grimm is set to premiere on Apple TV+ on Friday, October 3, 2025. This animated fantasy-adventure series was developed by Film alum and Emmy Award nominee, Amy Higgins '06, alongside fellow Emmy-nominee Erica Rothschild. The show, based on Michael Buckley’s New York Times best-selling series, tells the story of two orphaned sisters working together to investigate the mystery of their missing parents.
Higgins, who is also the series's showrunner, has worked on an impressive slate of animated and children’s shows. She has written and produced for Men at Work, Wander Over Yonder, Unikitty, Austin and Ally, and Disney’s Star vs. The Forces of Evil. For her work on Wander Over Yonder, Higgins received an Emmy Award nomination in 2015.
A powerhouse cast is locked in to give voice to the characters in this fantastical world. The title sisters will be performed by Ariel Winter, who is playing Sabrina Grimm, and Leah Newman who is taking on the role of Daphne Grimm. Other members of the cast include Harry Trevaldwyn, Laraine Newman, Abubakar Salim, and Billy Harris.
