The Gotham Film & Media Institute and the Cannes Film Festival announced the 2024 fellows for the The Cannes Film Festival Producers Network, and film alum Apoorva Charan '18 has been selected for the prestigious fellowship.

Launched in 2003, the Producers Network is a trusted platform that welcomes over 400 producers from around the globe each year to the Cannes Film Festival. During the event, the producers engage in a series of breakfast meetings that are designed to spotlight each one of Canne’s Presenting Partners, while also showcasing the extraordinary work of their most promising producers.

As the sole U.S. Partner Organization for the Festival de Cannes Producers Network, The Gotham annually selects the U.S. fiction and nonfiction producers to participate.

“Each of the 2024 Gotham/Cannes Producers Network Fellows has a unique track record of shepherding bold and compelling projects to the screen,” said Jeffrey Sharp, Executive Director of The Gotham Film & Media Institute. “In Cannes, we hope to further elevate their stellar careers through networking, education, and celebration of the art of film."

The program ran from May 15 to 20, concurrently with the Cannes Film Festival and the Marche du Film. The network is specifically designed for experienced producers to build up their international networks and learn more about international production, financing, legal and packaging.
