AI & Photography: Rashed Haq of CRUISE (Self Driving Cars)
As part of the speaker series for the class Artificial Intelligence & Photography (VIAR 1603), the Visual Arts Department presents a talk by Rashed Haq, VP of AI and Robotics at CRUISE.
Rashed Haq is a Bangladeshi-American AI engineer and artist. He is the Vice President of AI and Robotics at Cruise. Previously he was the Global Head of AI & Robotics at Publicis Sapient, a global leader in digital transformation. He was trained as a mathematical physicist. He then worked in Silicon Valley in artificial intelligence and robotics, and continued his art practice combining photography and algorithms. He was awarded the Robotics Innovation Award by Robotics Business Review, and was shortlisted for the AI Innovator of the Year Award by AI Business. His 2020 book “Enterprise AI Transformation” with Wiley Press was named one of the “100 Best Technology eBooks of All Time” by Book Authority.
