Yining Shang (she/they) is a current MFA candidate in the Stage Management program at Columbia University, and a theater director from Beijing, China. She is a recent graduate of Vassar College with a B.A. in Drama and a minor in Asian Studies. Yining believes that her skills as a stage manager and director complement each other and deepen her collaborative approach. As a theater maker, she is passionate about creating a supportive and inclusive rehearsal environment where every voice is valued. Past stage management credits include: The Seagull (Powerhouse Theater Training Company); Barbecue (Vassar College); Dead End (New York Theater Festival); Romeo and Juliet (Prague Shakespeare Company).
