Ryan Murphy

Ryan Murphy is the Owner of the Production Management firm Sightline Productions. Current and recent projects for SLP include Broadway productions of Liberation, Mamma Mia!, Stranger Things: The First Shadow, Gypsy, A Wonderful World, Cabaret at the Kit Kat Club, Jaja’s African Hair Braiding, The Wiz, Spamalot, the Off-Broadway productions of Joy, Vanya, Duke and Roya, Hold On To Me Darling and The Counter, and the national tour of Hadestown. Past projects include over seventy national and international tours, thirty Broadway productions and multiple regional premiers. Other past work includes the NHL Return to Play through the Covid-19 pandemic and a host of other events and industrials. He is a past Vice President for both RWS Entertainment Group and Aurora Productions as well as the former Production Manager for Troika Productions. He holds an MA from the University of Rochester and both a BFA and a BA from Niagara University. He teaches at Columbia University, has been a previous guest lecturer at several institutions, an active participant in panel discussions for USITT, SeaTrade and has spent time working on projects for Broadway Dreams and Broadway for Biden/Harris.
