Marie Myung-Ok Lee
Marie Myung-Ok Lee is the author of the novel The Evening Hero, a Good Morning, America Buzz Pick. Her stories and essays have been published in The Atlantic, The New York Times, Slate, Salon, Guernica, The Paris Review, and The Guardian, among others. She was the first Fulbright Scholar to Korea in creative writing and has received many honors for her work, including the Best Book Award from the Friends of American Writers, the New York Foundation for the Arts, The Robert Silvers Foundation at the New York Review of Books, and fellowships at MacDowell, Yaddo, and the Aspen Institute. Lee is a founder of the Asian American Writers' Workshop and the Writer in Residence at Columbia's Center for the Study of Race and Ethnicity (CSER).
