Lisa Milinazzo
Lisa Milinazzo (Director/Playwright, Theatre, Film): Directing Award Nominations: Barbara Whitman Directing Award; Alan Schneider Directing award, Best Director, Origin Theatre 2019, Best Director & Best Ensemble, L.A. Weekly. Lisa directed films for 3D Hamlet (cinematic/theatre hybrid) featuring Alec Baldwin, Michael Emerson and Richard Easton (Irish Arts, nyc; Edinburgh). Her short film The Query, played at Cannes & Garden State Film Festivals. She recently directed a documentary on renowned Economist, Leo Hindery.
Lisa has directed Theatrical Premieres for such writers as Eve Ensler, Rebecca Lenkiewicz, and George F. Walker in New York, LA and the UK at such theatres as Connelly Theatre (with Marin Ireland), 59E59th Street, The Culture Project, Rattlestick Theatre, Urban Stages, Irish Repertory Theatre, The Cell, Origin Theatre Company, 54 Below, Capital Repertory, Fundamental Theatre Project, HB Playwright’s Foundation (with Amy Wright), Alice’s 4th Floor and HERE. She is a frequent guest director for the Rep Company of the American Academy of Dramatic Arts. Writing credits: “Rocco & Vincent” (screenplay); “The Query” (Screenplay); “Slain In The Spirit” (Theatrical script); The Black Monk (Theatrical). She acted & directed with The Actors’ Space Repertory Company for several years, and was Assistant Director to the late, Alan Langdon, artistic director.
Lisa also teaches at NYU, Tisch Graduate film School. Performance/lectures: Poland, Canada & the US.
