Jason LaRiviere

Jason LaRiviere received his PhD in the department of Media, Culture, and Communication at New York University. His writing has appeared in boundary 2, e-flux, The Brooklyn Rail, and the collection Hands on Media History. Research and teaching interests include film and media theory, the history of technology, and digital culture. He is currently working on a book project incorporating an archeology of data compression, the psychophysics of perceptual coding, and digital philosophy.
