Fred Hanson

Fred Hanson has an extensive background in production planning, project management, and creative services for large scale, live events. He has many years of experience as an Associate Director, Production Supervisor, and Production Stage Manager for various Broadway productions and tours, where his responsibilities have included pre-production planning, rehearsal planning and management, conducting technical rehearsals, show calling, casting, and creative maintenance. He has directed many large musicals in Brazil, Japan, and the United States.

Fluent in Portuguese, he was the Location Producer for ESPN/USA for their 2014 World Cup Studio in Rio de Janeiro, and Deputy Head of Operations for Ceremônias Cariocas 2016, which produced the four Opening and Closing Ceremonies of the Rio Olympics and Paralympics.

He also has a long history in the field of Alternative Dispute Resolution and Restorative Justice. As a certified mediator, he has mediated with the New York Peace Institute since 2001 in the areas of general community mediation, co-parenting and custody/visitation, special education, criminal court, conflict coaching, and civil and housing court. He is an experienced facilitator, trainer, coach, conflict coach, and restorative justice practitioner, with an emphasis in the arts and environmental justice activism.
