Production Policy Update - Phase 1 Protocols Adjustment - HSM requirement update

Hello All,

Announcing a small change to the Health and Safety Manager (HSM) requirement for Phase 1 Protocols:

A separate Health and Safety Manager is not required for productions:
With 3 people or less (total for all production hours/days - no "switching out")
That include cast/crew from the director’s quarantine living relationship only (no outside people brought into space)

This change was made especially for very small exercises that plan to shoot at home, with just roommates and/or family who already live in the space.

For these exercises (which fit the stipulations above) you do not have to bring an outside person into the space to serve as the HSM. You also do not need a dedicated HSM to mind additional protocols that would apply to cast/crew who were NOT in a quarantine living relationship, such as wearing a mask, social distancing, or disinfectant breaks.

We hope that this will make shooting these very small exercises both easier and safer.

We have updated the Phase 1 Protocols page on the Hub with this change as well. Please send any questions to me and Ann.

Happy first D1 and D3 work, all!

Jenny
