Columbia Students Shortlisted for the Annual BAFTAs

At the 2016 BAFTA US Student Awards three films made by Columbians were honored: finalist El Adiós, written and directed by Clara Roquet, and edited by Mounia AklPitter Patter Goes My Heart, written and directed by Christoph Rainer ’15; andStay Awake, written and directed by Jamie Sisley ’15, produced by Sarah Dorman ’14, and co-produced by Kristin Frost ‘14,Tom Sveen ‘14, and Ko-Rely Pi ‘14.

The annual BAFTA event recognizes the best student short films of each year. Nearly 175 film schools across the US were invited to submit their very best student shorts, and a panel of academics, film professionals and short film programmers selected the shortlist from a submission pool of 245 films.

A special panel of voting BAFTA members will decide the finalists. The finalists will compete for the BAFTA US Student Film Award and the Special Jury Prize on June 16th at The Wallis.
