Alumna and Adjunct Assistant Professor Judy Chung ‘18 is featured in a group show at NYC Culture Club. The show opened on March 10th and will remain on view until April 16th.

Like Wildflowers features 21 artists from the Cereus Art platform. Cereus Art recognizes the disparities in the fine-art community and reimagine artists as partners, working to create stronger bonds between creatives and those who buy their work.

This show explores issues important to our contemporary moment. The artists interrogate identity and representation, haptic memory and trauma, familial heritage and pride, perennial history, and spirituality. Cereus Art’s collective spirit unites this show. The title evokes the idea that like wildflowers, they bloom despite the odds.

Chung was born in Seoul, South Korea. She earned her BFA from Pratt Institute in 2013 and her MFA from Columbia University in 2018. Chung has been exhibited in group shows at Tatjana Pieters Gallery, Belgium; Miriam Gallery, NY; and Mom’s  Gallery, NY. She currently lives and works in Brooklyn, New  York.
