Jaquira Díaz is the author of Ordinary Girls: A Memoir, winner of a Whiting Award, a Florida Book Awards Gold Medal, a Lambda Literary Awards finalist, an American Booksellers Association Indies Introduce Selection, a Barnes & Noble Discover Great New Writers Selection, an Indie Next Pick, a Library Reads pick, and finalist for the B&N Discover Prize. The recipient of a Letras Boricuas Fellowship, the Jeanne Córdova Prize for Lesbian/Queer Nonfiction, and fellowships from MacDowell, the Kenyon Review, the Wisconsin Institute for Creative Writing, and the Black Mountain Institute at UNLV, Díaz has written for The AtlanticThe GuardianTime MagazineT: The New York Times Style Magazine, and elsewhere. Her debut novel, This Is the Only Kingdom was longlisted for the Center for Fiction First Novel Prize and is forthcoming from Algonquin Books. 

Registration

Guest Registration (those without a CUID) is required.

If you do not have an active CUID, you must email [email protected] at least 48 hours in advance of the event in order to register. Please specify which event you want to attend, and please include your name as it appears on your ID. The day before the event, you will receive an email with a QR code that you will have to present along with your ID in order to access campus.

Please note that if you have an active CUID, you do not need to register for this event.
