MFA Students from Columbia University School of the Arts, guided by Rona Yefman, present fifteen-second “interruptions” in Times Square, exploring themes such as intimacy, ephemerality, resistance, and cultural erosion.
During the Mentor Week workshop led by Rona Yefman, students from the MFA Visual Arts Program embraced new artistic experiences and practices, fully immersing themselves in the city's vibrant community. The opportunity to partner with ZAZ10TS and create video art for the Times Square billboard offered students an exciting chance to express their creativity as visual studio artists in a public setting.
The moving-image works will be screened between commercials on the ZAZ10TS billboard in Times Square on February 19, 2026, 12:00 AM to 11:59 PM.
