By William Shakespeare
Directed by Rory McGregor
After defeating Macdonald, Macbeth returns home a hero, where he embraces anew, modern type of celebrity in the as-yet-unseen stuffy and repressed dominion of King Duncan. With the bloody murder of Duncan, Macbeth dives deeper into a world of excess and decadence, sending him and his Lady spiraling out of control as they desperately try to keep a hold of the crown.
Rory McGregor’s production of Macbeth is a theatrical exploration of society’s problematic relationship with celebrity.
