Columbia Selects at the KGB Bar! We are delighted to announce the return of Columbia Selects—our storied alumni reading series—to the KGB Bar for the 2024-25 season!
Join us Thursday, May 1, at 7 PM, for another stellar lineup:
Grace Larkin '21 graduated in 2021 with an MFA in Fiction. She's currently working on Head of Another Animal, a novel about a New York City Ballet soloist who is diagnosed with epilepsy. It explores the beauty and language of the brain, what it means to be diagnosed as something, and what happens when one possesses and then loses control over their own body.
Miriam Kumaradoss-Hohauser '17 grew up between three states in South India and now lives in New York City, where they are attempting to finish their first novel. Their writing has appeared in CrimeReads, Literary Hub, Cosmonauts Avenue, Apogee Journal (where they also served as Fiction Editor), and elsewhere, and is forthcoming in a horror anthology from the Indian indie press Blaft Publications.
Zoe Contros Kearl '19 is a writer and editor raised in Texas and based in Vermont, whose writing has been published in Action Books Blog, Kenyon Review, Los Angeles Review, Spectra, TQR, and elsewhere. Zoe currently serves as Editor for American Chordata Magazine and Associate Editor for Tupelo Quarterly. Zoe has recently completed a poetry manuscript, titled Yes Many & Beautiful Things.
