Join us for an evening with Jessica Hoppe as part of the Undergraduate Creative Writing Program's Art + Life series.
Jessica Hoppe is a Honduran Ecuadorian writer based in New York City. She has been featured on ABC News and HBOMax Pa’lante! and her work has appeared in the Latino Book Review, The New York Times, Vogue, Paper Magazine, and elsewhere. Jessica is a board member of Time of Butterflies, a non-profit supporting families through domestic abuse recovery, and an organizer with the Central American Writer’s group. Her debut memoir First in the Family is available now from Flatiron books.
Hoppe will be in conversation with Assistant Professor in Writing, Jaquira Díaz.

Art + Life is as an intimate conversation series with poets and writers organized by the School of the Arts' Undergraduate Creative Writing Program for majors and aficionados. Art + Life has hosted writers like Ladan Osman, Hernan Diaz, Bushra Rehman, Morgan Parker, Tommy Pico, Jenny Zhang, Eileen Myles and many others, and provides an opportunity for students to ask the invited reader questions and to engage in roundtable discussions with the artist.
