Ryan Matera is the author behind the mouse-car moment on Substack. His work has appeared in Cusper Magazine, Flat Ink, Junkie Lit, and other venerable and invenerable publications. Before receiving his MFA from Columbia University, he was a social worker and radio DJ in Charleston, West Virginia. He currently tutors university students in Art History and Criticism, and works in film as a Set Dresser.
