Payton Selby
Payton Selby is an award winning journalist, memoirist, critic, poet, and teacher from Atlanta, GA. She is an Alum of Columbia's Creative Nonfiction Writing MFA program and she earned a Bachelor's degree in political science, journalism, and social cultural analysis from New York University. In her time at Columbia she was the Associate Director of the Columbia Artist/Teachers, Director of the Incarcerated Writers Initiative, and Editor-in-Chief of the Exchange Journal, a publication of works from incarcerated authors. She presently teaches undergraduate creative writing at Columbia and writing workshops at Rikers Island. She is working on her debut memoir.
