Noa Steimatsky

Noa Steimatsky is the author of the award-winning The Face on Film (Oxford University Press, 2017), and Italian Locations: Reinhabiting the Past in Postwar Cinema (University of Minnesota Press, 2008). She was a recipient of the Guggenheim Fellowship, the NEH Fellowship, the ACLS Fellowship, the American Academy in Rome Prize, the Getty Research Grant, and a Fulbright Award. She was faculty member at Yale University, tenured at the University of Chicago, and visiting faculty at Stanford, UC-Berkeley, and Sarah Lawrence College. Her work on 1940s Cinecittà inspired a documentary film, and is currently being expanded into a book to be published by Columbia University Press.
