Miranda Rose Hall

Miranda Rose Hall (she/her) is a playwright and screenwriter based in Brooklyn, NY. 

She has written for television on Discretion (Upcoming Paramount+), Alaska Daily (ABC), and American Rust (Amazon Prime). She has developed pilots with A24, Fifth Season, FX, Middle Child Productions, and Emmy Rossum’s Composition8. 

Her plays include Work of Devotion, A Play for the Living in a Time of Extinction (finalist for the 2021 Susan Smith Blackburn Prize, commissioned by LubDub Theatre Co), The Sandwich Ministry, Plot Points in Our Sexual Development (finalist for the 2019 Lambda Literary Award in Drama), To Tell a Story About the Earth, The Kind Ones, and Menstruation: A Period Piece.  

Her plays have been produced at theaters around the world, including LCT3/Lincoln Center Theater in New York, the Barbican in London, Piccolo Teatro in Milan, Dramaten in Stockholm, the Croatian National Theatre in Zagreb, Théâtre de Liège, MC93 in France, and the National Performing Arts Center in Taipei.

She has taught writing and literature courses at Georgetown University, Wesleyan University, and Macalester College. She earned her BA from Georgetown University and her MFA from the Yale School of Drama.
