Jamie Kirkpatrick
Editor Jamie Kirkpatrick, ACE has been at the forefront of New York’s independent film scene for over 25 years. His diverse filmography includes such notable titles as Lost in Translation, Dave Chappelle’s Block Party, The Inevitable Defeat of Mister & Pete (which had a special screening at the Obama White House), My Friend Dahmer and John Leguizamo’s critically-acclaimed, directorial debut Critical Thinking. Recent editing credits include the Western Old Henry, the international drama Line of Control and the comedic crime drama Greedy People. He has taught multiple training courses in Avid and Adobe Premiere through the Motion Picture Editors Guild and Blue Collar Post Collective. As a member of the American Cinema Editors, he helped launch the ACE NY Internship Program and is a frequent moderator of editor panels at venues including ACE Presents at Metrograph and the Tribeca Film Festival. His enthusiasm for cinematic storytelling is matched only by his dedication to the craft of film editing, his vast knowledge of the works of Krzysztof Kieslowski and his well-documented weakness for a good doughnut.
