Frank Winslow

Franklin Winslow is Academic Director of Creative Writing at Columbia University School of the Arts. Before joining Columbia, Frank taught writing at Baruch College and Borough of Manhattan Community College, where he also directed the writing center. He is a voracious and eclectic reader, and is particularly drawn to the playful and off-beat, characters who are out of step, those who get in their own way. Frank is working on a novel about a couple of misfits who end up in trouble wherever they go. Having graduated from the University of Arkansas and Columbia’s MFA, Frank is fascinated with narrative form. He can’t resist a good story. Frank’s writing and reviews have appeared in Publisher’s Weekly, The New Criterion, The L Magazine, Art Asia Pacific, Coldfront, Gigantic, and elsewhere.
