Dante Kanter is a poet, bookseller and educator from Woodstock, NY, whose work draws from archival text, material culture, and oral history. Outside of Columbia, Dante teaches a recovery-oriented poetry workshop at The Bridge, a city-wide non-profit which offers supportive housing and behavioral health services to vulnerable New Yorkers. He holds an MFA in creative writing from Columbia University. His work has appeared in Not For Leisure, and his debut chapbook Tu-Whoo, Tu-Whoo is forthcoming from Spoonbill Press.
