Anna Gurton-Wachter

Anna Gurton-Wachter is a poet, editor and archivist. She is the author of two full length books, Utopia Pipe Dream Memory (Ugly Duckling Presse, 2019) and Empire K Hole (Nightboat Books, forthcoming, 2028) as well as eight chapbooks. Other writing has appeared in The Recluse, The Brooklyn Rail, Social Text, Vestiges, Long News and more. Anna edited and made books with DoubleCross Press from 2014-2024. DoubleCross Press is a poetry micro-press publishing handmade letterpress printed chapbooks. She has been a co-curator of the Segue Reading Series and has performed over eighty readings of her own poetry in over six countries worldwide. 

Anna works as the archivist for The Keith Haring Foundation. She has visited classes to speak about writing, art and archives at Hunter, SVA, Cooper Union, The New School, NYU, Philadelphia University of the Arts and LaGuardia Community College. Anna has degrees from NYU, Long Island University and Bard College.
