Anna Dunn

Anna Dunn is a screenwriter, director, and literary fiction writer who graduated with an MFA in Film from Columbia University in 2026. While pursuing her degree, her dramatic pilot, The Winner’s Circle, received Faculty Selects at the Columbia University Film Festival. She is currently working on her first novel, set in the same world. Anna is also a New York Women in Film and Television Scholarship recipient.

Anna studied creative writing and biology at Sarah Lawrence College. Before coming to Columbia, she worked as a copywriter, jewelry maker, and digital artist. She grew up in the mountains of Idaho, and often writes about outsiders and oddballs from insular, rural communities.
