Alex McTigue

Alex Mctigue received his MFA in Visual Arts from Columbia University and a BFA in Photography from SVA. He has been a participant of the SOMA summer residency program in Mexico City, and was a visual arts resident at Pioneer works in Brooklyn, NY. He is the author of two books, Of the night, by the city (2021), which was made in conjunction with Penumbra Foundation’s risograph print residency; and Petit Mal - the work of death as such (2022). Alex teaches in the photography department at the School of Visual Arts, and at Columbia University in New York City. He is an LP candidate at Pulsion, The International Institute of Psychoanalysis and Psychoanalytic Psychosomatics.
