Meraly "Mer" Morales-Tula

Meraly “Mer” Morales-Tula is an NYC based stage manager, writer, and collaborator. Born in the Bronx, she is passionate about creating art that reflects the experiences of the neighborhoods, people and crossroads that raised her. Fueled by her background in baile folklorico, Meraly is convinced that we can make the world a better place if we share our stories and cultures through dance, music, and the magic of theatre. A recent first-generation graduate from Hamilton College (Theatre; Japanese), Meraly received the Senior Prize and departmental honors in Theatre, and led a theatrical thesis in Japanese 国境を越えて、母に聞いて (“Beyond Borders, I hear My Mother”) as a playwright, director and designer. Mer’s recent stage management credits include— Concord Floral (Hamilton College), Things We Will Miss (Edinburgh Fringe), The Underlying Chris (Hamilton College) and (un)belonging* (INCITE @ Columbia University). Meraly is currently pursuing an MFA in Stage Management at the Columbia University School of Arts.
