Alumnus and producer Ryan Bogner '15 together with Victoria Lang announced the launch of Off Broadway Touring, a boutique theatrical booking agency dedicated to the promotion, booking, and management of Off-Broadway productions. With ten productions debuting this summer including Afterglow and Mad Libs Live!, the agency will focus primarily on presenting productions that are able to tour in smaller venues.

Bogner and Lang aim to create an economically profitable touring model for these productions and "successfully fill the void of quality and affordable live entertainment that can tour in smaller venues throughout North America and beyond" according to OBT's website. Off Broadway Touring's current productions include Baby Mama; Georgie: My Adventures With George Rose; Listen to My Heart: The Songs of David Friedman; Mad Libs Live! and Polkadots: The Cool Kids Musical!; The Manopause Boys; {my lingerie play} Installation #9, The Concert and Call to Arms!!!!!!!!!; Riding the Midnight Express with Billy Hayes; That Golden Girls Show: A Puppet Parody; and Tony n' Tina's Wedding.

"We recognize that because of the diversity of programming representing off-Broadway, a 'one size fits all' approach to booking these shows is not feasible," Bogner told Theatre Mania.  "It is our goal to provide a hands-on and strategic approach to bringing our clients' shows to as wide an audience as possible while ensuring their economic viability. Both Victoria and I know how challenging that can be from our own work producing shows of this caliber in New York."

Before founding OBT, Bogner served as the Director of Creative Development and Production at RKO Stage Productions, where he was responsible for the theatrical development and licensing of titles taken from the RKO Pictures film library and other acquired properties, as well as management of the studio’s New York office and its Broadway producing and investing operations. He has produced shows on Broadway, at New World Stages, Williamstown Theater Festival, The Ohio Theater, 42West, The Zipper Factory, The Julia Miles Theater, Dixon Place, The New York Musical Festival and The New York International Fringe Festival as well as countless developmental workshops, readings, concerts and one-off events. In addition to working as a creative producer of live theatrical content, Bogner is an expert in working with intellectual property holders to create content for theater based on their libraries. He has worked with Stageworks Media and Playscripts.com in the creation and licensing of theatrical content and with partners such as CBS and Sony Music.
