Nuah Ozryel '11 is Having a Big Year on TV

Theatre Alumnus Nuah Ozryel '11 is currently working on two TV Shows. He recurs on Season 3 of Mr. Robot, a psychological thriller that follows a young programmer (Elliot) who works as a cyber-security engineer by day and a vigilante hacker by night. He is recruited by the mysterious leader of an underground group of hackers to join their organization. Nuah plays society imposter Sasan Nouri.

Mr. Robot premiered in 2015 and was just was renewed for its fourth season. The show has been nominated for and won multiple awards, including the Golden Globe for Best Television Drama Series. In 2016, the series received six Emmy nominations.

Nuah is also appearing on the first season of The Looming Tower. “Based on the Pulitzer-Prize winning book, The Looming Tower traces the rising threat of Osama Bin Laden and Al-Qaeda in the late 1990s and how the rivalry between the FBI and CIA during that time may have inadvertently set the path for the tragedy of 9/11. The series follows members of the I-49 Squad in New York and Alec Station in Washington, D.C., the counter-terrorism divisions of the FBI and CIA, respectively, as they travel the world fighting for ownership of information while seemingly working toward the same goal - trying to prevent an imminent attack on U.S. soil,” according to the show's description. Nuah Ozryel was born in Windsor, Canada and went to high school in Lahore, Pakistan. He started acting in school plays at the age of 8 and regionally at the age of 16. He studied acting under the tutelage of Canadian theatre director Ken Gass, the founder of The Factory Theatre. After graduating from Columbia in 2011 he started auditioning for TV and theatre in New York, and we can definitely say that those auditions were a success!
