Sarah's Salt was selected from over 1,000 submissions for the Relentless Award’s Honorable Mention list.

The Relentless Award were established by The American Playwriting Foundation in honor of Philip Seymour Hoffman “and his pursuit of truth in the theater, is the largest annual cash prize in American theater awarded to a playwright in recognition of a new play,” according to the Foundation´s website. The Awards look for plays that exhibit fearlessness, that are not mainstream, and that that exude passion. You can see all the selected plays here.

Her theatrical work bends genre and ruminates on “non-traditional” themes to deliberately disrupt the status quo and dig for a path to collective liberation. Named “one of New York City’s most exciting playwrights” by the Bushwick Starr in 2016, her play, SKiNFoLK: An American Show, appeared in 2017 ANT Fest (aka All New Talent Festival) at Ars Nova. She recently completed a residency at her alma mater, University of Michigan.
